In conjunction of UBD’s 30th Anniversary, UBD TV and The Creative Core BN collaborated to organize a 3-day Short Film Festival in August 2016 at The Core Residential College, UBD. The event saw the showcase of 7 local short films from independent filmmakers.
A two-session Short Film Making workshop was also conducted, led by locally-known filmmakers to share the process of filmmaking and impart their experience and opportunities in film production.

In the first of its kind, the Pilot Series is a collaborative effort between several independent filmmakers to illuminate beyond the surface of the silver screen and to try to capture the mood and emotions of a movie rather than simply replicating scenes and characters from any franchise.
